Cobus has experience in sports related injuries, working with numerous sporting associations including Tuks Rugby Team, Pumas Rugby Team, Comrades, SA Games, ASA Senior Championships, SASSU, Eastern Cape Academy of Sport, Bay United Soccer Team, Centurion Rugby Club and Blue Bulls Amateurs.
He is also the co-author of a scientific paper, presented at multiple international congresses. Additionally he is a member of the South African Society of Physiotherapy and the South African Sports Medicine Association specializing in Sport Treatment and Rehabilitation focusing on Manual Therapy, Injury Specific Rehabilitation, Sport overall conditioning and Biomechanical Analysis.
Gina Switala completed her studies in 2012, at The University of Pretoria, and obtained her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree. She is a registered physiotherapist with The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as well as the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP). In 2013 she completed her community service year at Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria, before starting to work in private practice in 2014. Gina furthered her studies in 2014 by successfully completing the Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy Course (OMTC) run by the SASP. Gina has a love for all sports especially golf. She represented South Africa at both junior and senior level. Gina has a keen interest in treating sports injuries, especially golfers. Gina believes in the importance of a thorough evaluation. This is to establish and treat the cause of the injury, rather than just the symptoms.
Heidi completed her studies in 2014, thereafter she completed her community service year at Potchefstroom Hospital. She joined our team in 2016. She is a registered physiotherapist with The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as well as the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP).
She has been working with Centurion Rugby club since 2013 and is currently also the head physiotherapist of the TUT rugby team. She has experience in sports related injuries while working with a variety of sport types such as rugby, hockey, cycling, marathon running, triathletes, gymnastics and swimming. She has a passion for sport, and also played hockey at provincial level, and aims to find the cause of the injury and not only treating the symptoms.
She worked at Comrades, Clarens triathlete camp, African Gymnastics Championships as well as various marathons and cycling events. She is planning to further her studies in the field of sport physiotherapy.
Mariet is a qualified physiotherapist with 13 years clinical experience. She graduated at the University of Pretoria (TUKS) in 2004 and has a post-graduate qualifications in orthopaedic manipulation therapy (OMT1) and dry needling. She now assists on the OMT course. She is a keen runner and obtained provincial colours in both athletics and cross-country at junior and senior levels.
Mariet has a keen interest in orthopaedic manual therapy and biomechanical analysis. She enjoys treating a wide variety of sporting injuries, and has a special interest in running injuries. She believes in a thorough evaluation, getting to the root of the problem.
